Paper making and sharing stories – get your hands slimy during this four-week program, making your own paper and writing a short story, or making gift cards for friends and family.

Saturday afternoons 1pm – 3pm (Ages 7+)
Using real wood working tools, this 4-week workshop will have you creating four different items to take home: lap desktop, tray, stool and a choice of truck peg rack or jewellery peg board.

Hanover Community Players and Edie Inksetter Lardy present a workshop designed to help the amateur community theatre actor gain confidence in developing their next character for the stage. It is open to anyone 16 years and up interested in character development through scene study, acting and reacting through action and intent. We will use scenes from contemporary and classical plays to work specifically on action. Ideal opportunity for those auditioning for spring theatre productions. Workshop runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. both days at St.

The COMMON PULSE Multi-Arts Festival and Symposium is a weekend-long conversation between artists and the public exploring new ideas around media, technology, art and culture. It includes performances, exhibitions, workshops, a symposium and more, all taking place in a bucolic rural setting in and around the Durham Art Gallery.

The COMMON PULSE Symposium is a weekend-long dialogue about how contemporary media is reshaping our culture: how consumers become producers, how private citizens are adopting public personas, and how ideas evolve in an era of file-sharing, wikis, sampling and open source. The symposium is intended for artists, theorists, technologists, students at all levels of education and the general public.
