The “Women in History” exhibit at Billy Bishop Home and Museum - A National Historic Site looks at the contributions women made to the war efforts during both the First and Second World Wars.

One of the ways that Billy Bishop’s niece, Mary Worth Bishop, contributed was by joining the Canadian Women’s Army Corps in June, 1943. Mary served overseas as a stenographer and was also one of 6 women chosen to assist in the publicity work for the 5th Victory Loan drive.

You can tour the museum and view this and many other informative exhibits. We are open daily from 10 am to 5pm Monday to Saturday, 12 noon to 5 pm Sundays and Holidays June, July and August.

September through December and March and April Tuesday through Sunday from 12 noon to 4 pm. February and March, Tuesday through Friday 12 noon to 4 pm.
