Women in History
The “Women in History” exhibit at Billy Bishop Home and Museum - A National Historic Site looks at the contributions women made to the war efforts during both the First and Second World Wars.
One of the ways that Billy Bishop’s niece, Mary Worth Bishop, contributed was by joining the Canadian Women’s Army Corps in June, 1943. Mary served overseas as a stenographer and was also one of 6 women chosen to assist in the publicity work for the 5th Victory Loan drive.
